No. We're walk-in only, so come by anytime during open hours. Groups of 6 or more, please call ahead so we can save you a spot.

You only pay for the piece you choose. There are no studio fees and no firing fees. Paint, brushes, stencils, glazing and kiln firing are all included. Most pieces are $18–$40, and larger platters and projects run $50 and up.

Take as long as you like. Most people paint for an hour or two. You can also come back another day to finish, but we don't have storage space, so take your piece home with you between visits.

In about 7–10 days. We glaze and kiln-fire every piece, then send you a text when it's ready for pickup.

Yes. Fired pieces are permanent, won't fade, and their finished surfaces are food safe.

Not at all. No experience is needed. We have stamps, stencils and tracing patterns, and our staff is happy to help with ideas, colors and lettering, all at no extra charge.

Yes. Painters of all ages are welcome, and our paints are water-based and non-toxic. Events and classes list their own age guidelines.

At our clay studio, CREATIVE Clay, 3244 W Main St, Claremont, NC 28610. It's right next door to CREATIVE at 3246 W Main Street, where you'll find pottery painting, parties, events and The Creative Brew.

No. Our 6-week beginner wheel and hand-building courses start from the very first step. See the current classes.

Yes, with a Community Clayroom membership. Memberships are for makers who've taken a wheel lesson or weekly class and feel comfortable working on their own.

Yes! In-studio parties are 2 hours for 6 to 30 painters, or up to 40 for clay parties at CREATIVE Clay. Two grown-ups can join a kids' party without painting. Bring your own cake and food, and our Creative Brew coffee bar is open during your party. A $50 deposit holds your date. See party packages.

Yes! The Creative Brew is right inside the studio, serving lattes, chai, frappes, lemonades and dirty sodas during studio hours, and it's always open during our parties and events. Order ahead.

Pottery painting, parties, events and The Creative Brew are at CREATIVE, 3246 W Main Street, Claremont, NC 28610. Clay classes and memberships are right next door at CREATIVE Clay, 3244 W Main St. We're in downtown Claremont, minutes from Hickory, Newton and Conover. Tuesday and Wednesday 8am–4pm, Thursday through Saturday 8am–6pm, closed Sunday and Monday.
